Science Week

This year, the theme for Science Week was Journeys; Class 5 based all their learning on The Titanic.

Maths

Year 6 investigated various questions about the length of the Titanic (268m) and solved multi-step problems based on the room prices, amount of passengers and number of lifeboats.

Did you know that a total of 2207 lives were lost?

Using metre sticks and stopwatches, year 6 found that approximately 1076 children (standing shoulder to shoulder) is the same length as the Titanic. They also calculated that it would take around 9 minutes to walk from one end to the other.
