What is a school council?

A school council is group of students who are elected to represent the views of all pupils and to improve their school.

“School council” means all kinds of school-based groups run by students, including student forums and youth parliaments.

Here at St John’s, we have an active school council, who meet regularly with Mrs Wasyliw to discuss how can make things even better at school.

We are currently looking at improving our environmental area, and have been asked to take ideas from all the children in school.

Class 5 really enjoyed researching, planning and making a product from only £10, in order to make a profit for school council.
