Our school was opened by the National Society in January 1874 and has remained a Church Primary School. Since its opening, the building has been extended several times and now provides five spacious classrooms; an area for infant activities, a library, two small computer areas, a large school hall and a school kitchen. To the front of the school is a hard-surfaced play area, and to the rear a garden and playing field on the hillside.

All our classrooms are warm and welcoming; they are carpeted and well furnished.Teachers use display boards to show children’s work and to provide a reference for children during lessons.
Interactive white boards have been installed in all classrooms and children have access to computers in each room.

There is a friendly, warm atmosphere in our school. Staff and children work hard to create a caring community.

We enjoy close links with St John’s Church and with other local schools.
